Smart ageing in place: How can homes be adapted to provide better care?

This roundtable intends to explore innovations and solutions that enable existing homes to provide optimal support for ageing in place.  What are the main challenges in providing care services at home?  What are the main models of home care in Europe and what technologies are they based on? How can these technologies be seamlessly integrated into existing residences? What role can design play in ensuring that smart home solutions are inclusive and user-friendly for seniors with diverse needs? In what ways can advanced monitoring technologies contribute to proactive health management and emergency response within the home setting? What collaborative efforts are needed between technology developers, healthcare professionals, and policy makers to promote the widespread adoption of these solutions?
