Exploring the role of nutrition in frailty: Evidence and perspectives

Anne-Kathrin Illner is Associate Professor, Human Nutrition, Prevention and Population Health Science, UniLaSalle, Beauvais, France. She received her PhD and MPH in public health epidemiology from the Technical University of Berlin as well as a Master in Nutritional Science at the University of Potsdam, Germany.

Before joining UniLaSalle in 2015, Dr Illner worked 5 years at the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC-WHO) in Lyon, foremost on innovation in dietary assessment methodologies in cohort studies.

At UniLaSalle she is leading the applied research unit PANASH within the College of Health Sciences, developing and evaluating innovative nutritional solutions and preventive tools for nutritionally vulnerable population groups, such as cancer patients, low-income populations and elderly.
