Healthy ageing in action: Which strategies can advance well-being across the life course?

Daniel Elías Martín Herranz started his scientific journey in the University of Salamanca, where he obtained a first class honours degree in Biotechnology. Next, Dani undertook a Masters in Computational Biology at the University of Cambridge, supported by the most prestigious scholarship in Spain (La Caixa Scholarship).

During his PhD in the European Bioinformatics Institute, Dani worked in the labs of Professor Dame Janet Thornton and Professor Wolf Reik on the biological mechanisms of the epigenetic clock, the most accurate biomarker of biological ageing in humans. Together with the Chronomics team, he now wants to revolutionise preventive health and healthy ageing by making actionable biological data available to everyone.
