How to ensure your innovation design is inclusive enough?
Dr Lucy Gresley has a background in Clinical Psychology and experience in clinical practice in mental health and rehabilitation services. In her spare time she is a community arts tutor, promoting health and wellbeing for people who face disabling barriers.
She is currently a Senior Portfolio Manager in Innovation and Impact at the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), part of UK Research and Innovation (UKRI). ESRC is a non-departmental public body funded by a grant-in-aid from the UK government and is the UK’s largest funder of economic, social, behavioural and human data science.
Lucy is ESRC’s Research Investment Lead for the UKRI Healthy Ageing Challenge, which aims to help people remain active, productive, independent and socially connected across generations for as long as possible. It does this by enabling businesses, including social enterprises, to develop and deliver beneficial products, services and business models. The research component of the challenge includes a Healthy Ageing Research Director, a programme of Social, Behavioural and Design Research and the Catalyst and Accelerator research commercialisation programme, delivered in partnership with venture builder Zinc.
Lucy holds a BSc in Psychology, BA in Fine Art, MSc in Research and Evaluation Methods and DClinPsy in Clinical and Community Psychology.
