LILLE AND THE HAUTS-DE-FRANCE REGION,
A REGION CONCERNED BY THE SILVER ECONOMY AND HEALTH SECTOR

Beyond the numerous institutes and dedicated laboratories, 400 companies with 8,000 employees make up the regional economy that works for the well-aging and autonomy of seniors through nutrition, home automation, medicines, teleassistance, medical equipment, etc.

To federate and animate this ecosystem, the Silver Economy and Health actors launched key projects for several years.

The Silver Surfer contest stimulates the regional associations, companies, laboratories and start-ups by encouraging them to offer technological innovations to meet the needs of seniors. The competition stands out by the involvement of users (elderly and family careers and professionals) in the process of creation of innovative products.

At the international level, several regional actors are gathered into European consortiums whether to structure the Silver Economy sector on the political level (Silver SMEs project, for example) or offer concrete solutions to companies that would like to test their prototypes in different countries (SEAS 2 Grow project).
